"Benera" produces various furniture with curved contours (chairs, armchairs, tables) and their components (furniture legs, backrests, etc.), which are created, modeled and manufactured to satisfy the creative ideas of customers. During such a creative process, the ergonomics and comfort of the product are evaluated , strength, production technology, carvings in the product.In the production of furniture with curved contours and their components, old manually controlled drilling, milling and cutting equipment is used, which is not automatic, requiring workers' time.
With the currently available equipment, it is difficult to realize the creative ideas of the customers, moreover, this equipment is not efficient enough to meet the needs of the customers. In view of this, a decision was made to invest in the new infrastructure necessary for the development of KKI products by acquiring digital manufacturing technology - 2 automatic 6-axis interpolation workpiece processing centers, which automatically perform the functions of feeding, drilling, milling, cutting, and removing the workpiece according to the digital 3D model of the product. For this purpose, UAB "Benera" is starting to implement project no. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-309-01-0081. For the implementation of the project in accordance with the 2014-2020 European Union funds investment action program of priority 13 "Promotion of actions to overcome the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and preparation for environmentally friendly, digital and sustainable economic revitalization" measure no. 13.1.1-LVPA-K-309 "Incentives to improve the infrastructure of cultural and creative industries companies" from the European Regional Development Fund for its implementation.

The purchased equipment will enable the implementation of the principles of not only the digital economy, but also the circular economy: the amount of waste will decrease, the possibility of reusing waste will appear, the amount of raw materials used will decrease, electricity costs will decrease, and the possibility of restoring, repairing or recycling a previously manufactured product. After the implementation of the project, production costs will be significantly reduced, the company's work productivity will increase, flexibility in implementing new creative ideas in creating products that ensure digital and circular economy principles. All this will increase the company's competitive advantage in Lithuanian and foreign markets.
"Benera" is a company in the furniture industry located in Taurage, producing furniture and furniture parts. Most of the manufactured products are exported to Scandinavian countries. The company's production processes consume a lot of energy. In order to make operations more efficient and reduce costs, investments are constantly made in upgrading equipment. in 2018 the company installed a modern Argus Flex boiler for drying wood and heating administrative premises. It uses wood waste generated in the company's production processes - biofuel. in 2020 an energy consumption audit was carried out in the company, according to the recommendations of which it was decided to install a 350 kW solar power plant on the roofs of the buildings. For this purpose, UAB "Benera" is starting to implement project no. 04.2.1-LVPA-K-836-04-0034 "Use of renewable energy resources in production processes of UAB "Benera".
For the implementation of the project in accordance with the 2014-2020 European Union funds investment action program of priority 4 "Encouragement of energy efficiency and energy production and use of renewable resources" measure no. 04.2.1-LVPA-K-836 "Renewable energy resources for industry LT+" from the European Regional Development Fund, EUR 213834.00 support was allocated for its implementation.
The goal of the project implemented by UAB "Benera" is to reduce the intensity of energy consumption in the company by increasing the production and consumption of renewable energy resources. This project will be useful not only for the company, but also for the whole country and society, because its implementation will contribute to increasing the capacity of energy from renewable energy sources in Lithuania and reducing the consequences of climate change.

The technological processes of UAB "Benera" require considerable energy consumption, which increases every year. Based on the recommendations of the technological audit, the company plans to install a 200 kW solar power plant according to the project "Installation of NPP production capacities" UAB "Benera" No. 02-011-K-0155. after installing the solar power plant, the total amount of energy generated from renewable sources will be up to 80%. of the amount of electricity consumed for the company's activities.
The goal of the project implemented by UAB "Benera" is to reduce production costs, increase the production and consumption of renewable energy resources, and contribute to increasing the capacity of renewable energy sources in Lithuania.
Funding for the implementation of the project was granted in accordance with the progress measure of the economic transformation and competitiveness development program of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, the manager of the 2022-2030 development program no. 05-001-01-04-02 "Encouraging companies to move towards a climate-neutral economy" activity "Encouraging the implementation of renewable energy resources in industrial enterprises (central and western Lithuania region)" - 81,994 EUR support was allocated from the European Regional Development Fund.
